When is the THFF? Friday 1 - Monday 4 March 2026
Where is the THFF? The THFF is held at Ross River Resort, 80km east of Alice Springs.
Are there day tickets? Day tickets for Saturday and for Sunday will be available for purchase when First Release tickets go on sale. Saturday tickets include access to the site from Friday. Sunday tickets include access to the site until Monday. If you want to attend the festival on Saturday and Sunday you will need to purchase a weekend ticket.
How much do kids cost? Kids 5 and under are free, children under 18 half price. Family passes are also available, with entry for 2 adults and 2 children. See the ticket page for more details.
Is there a bus to THFF? Yes, a bus will run to a limited schedule from Alice Springs to the festival and back on Saturday and Sunday. Times will be released closer to the festival. Alternatively, if you don’t have transport to and from the festival, we would recommend carpooling with other festival attendees. Consider posting on our Facebook page.
Can I camp with my car? Yes. You will need to arrive before 5pm on Friday if you wish to camp with your car on the festival side of the resort. No vehicles will be allowed to cross the river between 5pm Friday and Monday lunchtime. If you want to arrive after 5pm Friday or leave before Monday lunchtime you can camp with your car on the Homestead side of the resort. The festival site is a 500m walk from this campground.
Is there day parking? Yes, there will be a limited amount of day parking available on the Homestead side of the resort. Vehicles will not be allowed to cross the river after 5pm on Friday.
When do I need to be offsite after the festival? 3pm on Monday.
Are there vehicle passes required for THFF? No. If you are camping in a vehicle, your camping pass allows you to bring a vehicle on site. If you have a caravan or motorhome, there are limited powered sites available to purchase through the ticket site.
Can I leave the site during the festival? If you have a ticket, you can leave the site and return as needed. However, cars parked in the Festival Site campground will not be allowed to leave the site between 5pm on Friday and Monday lunchtime. Cars parked near the Homestead carpark or campground can come and go over the weekend.
Can you book a certain campsite location? Nope, first in best dressed.
Are there powered sites? Yes, but powered sites are limited and must be booked with your camping ticket.
Are there cabins available at Ross River during the festival? Cabins are all booked up for 2026. If you have accessibility needs please get in contact.
Can I use my phone at the THFF venue? There is very limited Optus signal and no signal with the Telstra network at Ross River Resort. We would recommend downloading the program and any other information you may need before you come to the festival. Print copies of the program will be available for purchase at the Festival Hub.
Is there EFTPOS available at the festival? Yes. Alcohol will operate on a ticket-based system, which will be sold at the Festival Hub. These can be purchased with card or cash. Food and merchandise vendors will have EFTPOS available. We would recommend bringing some cash in the event that our systems crash.
Can I buy food at the festival? Yes, there will be a number of options with a variety of food trucks.
Can I bring my own alcohol to the festival? No. There will be a fully stocked bar at the festival, and our liquor licensing does not allow BYO.
How accessible is the festival? Campsite toilets and showers are accessible, as are the majority of cabins. While every effort is made to make the THFF venue accessible for all levels of mobility it is recommended for wheelchair users to have assistance. Please contact us for more details or for specific arrangements.
Are dogs allowed at the THFF? Dogs are not allowed at the festival.
I bought a ticket but now I can’t find the details. What should I do? Contact us.
I bought a ticket and haven’t received it yet. Where can I get it? Tickets can be collected from the Festival Hub. Armbands for ticket holders will be available at the same place. The Festival Hub is located in the Function Centre to the left of the entry to the festival site.
Will there be fires at THFF? No personal fires or fires in campgrounds. Communal fires will warm you in the evenings.
Is there a shop at Ross River Resort? The Resort shop sells a few basic items, but you should bring all our personal necessities. Medication needs MUST be catered for by individuals.
What will the weather be like? Winter days are lovely; mild and sunny. The nights can be cold, and while we will have a communal fire and some heaters, please bring warm clothes.
Is there filtered water available? There is rain water available at Ross River Resort, but you should bring your own filtered water if that is your preference.
Will there be waste management facilities at the festival? We hope to make the THFF waste free in 2026! There will be no rubbish disposal facilities at the festival. Please bring your own cups and plates. Festival attendees will be required to take all rubbish with them. There will be recycling facilities for cans and glass.
Will there be THFF merch for sale this year? Yes! T-shirts, hoodies, mugs and other items will be available for sale from the Festival Hub.
